(Click on any one of the tags for more information) GIVING
God set the ultimate example on how to give by the sacrificial giving of His very own Son. It is a believer's responsibility to be a good steward and give back to the Lord what is His by giving to the church and others.

So what is tithing? So often, Christians forget that some terms are not understood by everyone. We take for granted that everyone knows what tithing, baptism, salvation, and born-again means. The first thing you should know about tithing is that it is 10% of everything you have. This includes: money, time, talents, blessings, connections, etc. This 10% is God's share of all He provides for you.
After all, everything we have belongs to God. You cannot out give God. If you are faithful in your tithing, God will be faithful to you. When you have finished setting aside a tenth of all your produce in the third year, the year of the tithe, you shall give it to the Levite, the alien, the fatherless and the widows, so that they may eat in your towns and be satisfied. (Deuteronomy 26:12)
1. Tithing Money: Ten Percent of Your Income
Ten percent (10%) of all money you receive is to be given back to God. This includes your wages (before any deductions), gifts of money (birthday, Christmas, wedding, baby shower, etc.), child support, money from investments, inheritance, etc.
As He looked up, Jesus saw the rich putting their gifts into the temple treasury. He also saw a poor widow put in two very small copper coins. I TELL YOU THE TRUTH, He said, THIS POOR WIDOW HAS PUT IN MORE THAN ALL THE OTHERS. ALL THESE PEOPLE GAVE THEIR GIFTS OUT OF THEIR WEALTH; BUT SHE OUT OF HER POVERTY PUT IN ALL SHE HAD TO LIVE ON. (Luke 21:1-4)
2. Tithing Time: Draw Closer To God
Because none of us are promised tomorrow, our time is a gift and should be tithed. Ten percent of your time should be given to doing God's work. How?
1. Prayer and Bible Study. Spend time each day in prayer for others as well as yourself. Have a relationship with God.
Spend time being quiet in His presence. Read His Word.
2. Volunteering. Give 10% of your time doing something for someone else without receiving anything in return.
This should be done with a pure heart and not to gain praise or recognition.
Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayer. Share with God's people who are in need. Practice hospitality. (Romans 12:12-13)
3. Tithing Talents: Seek God and He Will Reveal Your Talents
Maybe you are great in Math. Volunteer to tutor (for free) someone struggling in Math who can't afford a tutor. Maybe you can really cook. Make extra and take to a shut-in or single parent family once a week. Offer to babysit for a single parent on the weekend so they don't have to pay extra for weekend babysitting. What are you good at or love to do?
We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man's gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. If it is serving,
let him serve; if it is teaching, teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously;
if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully. (Romans 12:6-8)
4. Tithing Blessings & Connections: Give to others in need
When we see someone in need, we are called to help if we are able. If we cannot help but know someone who can, we need to put those resources together with the need. Maybe you know someone wanting to sell their car just because it's an extra car they don't need and there's a single mom who is going to lose her job it she doesn't find dependable transportation. Maybe the guy with the car would be able to work out cheap payments or even give her the car as a tax write off. You never know until you ask. Maybe you have a horse. Maybe you could give kid's who can't afford to ride a horse, free riding lessons. If you have a large garden, you could donate some vegetables to those less fortunate than you. Look around. There are MANY ways you can tithe.
Then they will answer Him, WHEN, LORD, DID WE EVER SEE YOU HUNGRY OR THIRSTY OR A STRANGER OR NAKED
OR SICK AND WOULD NOT HELP YOU? The King will reply, I TELL YOU, WHENEVER YOU REFUSED TO HELP ONE OF THESE
LESS IMPORTANT ONES, YOU REFUSED TO HELP ME. (Mathew 25:44-45) Each one should use whatever gift he has
received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms. (1 Peter 4:10)

Christ Community Church is pleased to offer several convenient giving methods. Consider taking advantage of one of these easy giving options as you tithe and contribute to the ministry of Christ Community Church. These methods allow you to donate to the General Funds of the church or to the other special fund projects. All donations will be used where best needed to support and further God's kingdom.
1. Weekend Services
For your convenience, offering envelopes are available in the weekly bulletin. Simply place cash or checks (payable to Christ Community Church) in one of these envelopes and put it in the offering basket during any of the weekend services. Be sure to indicate on the check or envelope where the funds should be designated, such as: General Fund, Building Fund, Benevolence, Celebrate Recovery, Missions, and/or Special funded projects.
2. Online Giving
Christ Community Church is pleased to offer online giving for our members. While this can have advantages, we want each person who chooses this option to make sure they are giving in a spirit that is pleasing to the Lord. While there are several ways to give electronically, including automatic withdrawal for checking, debit cards and credit cards, we strongly discourage the use of credit cards. Proverbs 22:7 says "...the borrower is servant to the lender" and credit cards can cause many people to struggle financially. Since we cannot distinguish online whether a card is being used for debit or credit, we will allow the use of both. You will find a link below this section that will help you set up the simple online giving process.
3. Online-Banking - Direct Deposit/Transfer
Simplify you're giving by authorizing an automated transfer of funds for your regular tax-deductible giving to Christ Community Church. You may choose monthly or twice-monthly transfers from your bank account directly to the church account. Simply sign-up for your bank's on-line pay system and make Christ Community one of your regular accounts to be paid. You may discontinue the debits at any time. If you have any questions or concerns, contact the Church and we will be happy to transfer you to someone who can assist you with the process.
4. Non-Monetary Donations
Are you thinking of selling or trading in your old car, boat, truck, plane, RV, personal property, or real estate? Why not donate it instead? As a charitable donation, your contribution will make a valuable difference to Christ Community Church! Our donation program is a wonderful way to give and get a tax savings benefit at the same time. Donating is easy! Christ Community Church will process your gift with little or no hassle for you. Call the church office at 863-875-1090 and leave a message for Pastor Daryl or email him daryl@aplacetobelong.com with more information.

Semi-annual "Statements of Giving" will be sent via email to all donors whose email addresses we have in our records. This will greatly reduce the amount of postage, paper and staff time involved with statement mailings. If you would rather receive paper statements on a semi-annual basis, please state this preference in an email to Annie Kullberg abkullberg@tampabay.rr.com. We will continue to mail paper statements to those without email addresses on file, and at the end of the calendar year to all donors for tax purposes. Thank you for your support as faithful stewards of God's gifts!
You may make your gifts in a variety of forms. Email Cindy Payne ccp2980@msn.com to receive a receipt of your tax-deductible gifts in accordance with IRS requirements. Please let us know if you have any specific needs regarding these notifications; otherwise, you will receive the minimum summary of your gifts necessary to meet government standards.
